Default YFZ Seat

I know this has been posted a gazillion times, but I just thought I'd add in my comments ..

I finally got to sit on a YFZ at the local dealer and I can honestly say I'm not happy with the seat. I also sat on a Banshee for the first time today (same dealer) and found its seat much nicer, closer to the Warrior.

I love the clutch pull on the YFZ tho .. it's verrrrrryyy smooth. As for feeling like a small quad, I honestly don't know where that would come from. It feels every bit as big as the Warrior, and more open. Without actually having ridden one, and excepting the seat, I think I would be comfortable riding one on trails.

Not fussy on the stock bumper eithe tho .. kinda looks rinkydinky .. especially when compared with the Warrior And, I've found the next addition to my Warrior collection when / if I can get the cash for it a nice RX-1 Warrior snow machine. Dayum that thing looks sweet

Anyhoo .. I'm off again .. l8r's all!!

Yes the seat is hard.I did go for a 120 mile trail ride and after 3 hrs i had to stand.my banshee has a much softer seat.
But the YFZ is the fastest machine through the woods i have ever ridden. My banshee is faster in a straight line but through in some turns and the YFZ blowes it away.

I imagine you could probably get a newer, softer seat, but when you're looking at $10k CDN for a quad, I'm thinking having to buy a new seat for it is a bit much .. for that price they should come with a lifetime supply of Charmin LOL

It's probably not as bad as it seems to be on the showroom floor, but then again .. it might be a whole lot worse!!

Cascade sells a seat cover that comes with an extra inch of foam. I see a lot of guys running them at the dunes.

I had a guy south of the border do a custom seat cushion for my brother's trx300, the seat is nice and soft, but not too much, he also made a seat cover with his name stiched on the back. It hasnt ripped yet but he said it might since the cover is streched to cover the cushion. I think he charged me like $20 (210 Pesos) for everything

I had the same feeling about the seat bein too hard when i first got it and sat on it, but after riding aroud on it for a little while you really don't notice the seat bein hard and it also helps when movin around on it in turns.
