Default leaving quads...

hey yall,

after weeks of very, very much thought, i have decided to race the 2004 mx season on motorcycles, which means i will be losing my quad in place of a motorcycle. i know you all are going to be mad at my decision, and i could have gone without even posting this, but i want you all to know how hard it really is to leave a great sport like atving. i looked into racing atv mx but its not going to happen due to regulations of age and the amounts of people that race. i will be riding a ktm sx450 or possibly a yz450f to support yamaha till i get back to the sport of atving. i had been looking forward to purchasing a yfz450 for a long time but unfortunately, i am one of those 15 year olds that has to buy their own bikes with their own money so thats not going to be an option. i would just really like to thank everyone for the great time that they provided me with on these forums...

returning future atver,
johnny

Johnny, welcome to my favorite sport!! Though I love to ride my quads, theres nothing like jumping 100ft+ jumps on a regular basis and whipping it like theres no tomorrow to shove off the excess speed!!! I have never ridden a SX450 but I have rode against the old KTM 525 SX! To be COMPLETELY honest, it doesnt matter what brand of bike you buy when it comes to bikes!! The power on all are pretty much the same! Give or take some! I'm glad your opting to go for the 4 strokes! You will be very happy with either bike that you mentioned!! As you can see from my sig, I have alot of experience with the YZF's!!! My own personal opinion, I would get the Dr. D(Doug Dubach) full race pipe!!! I've had the FMF, Pro Circuit, etc. by far for me the Dr. D pipe is the best I have found yet! Don't be afraid of buying one of the old bikes that with the "manual" decompression lever!! My bikes usually crank on first kick and I can usually kick it over as fast as the autocompression bikes! If you need any help with your decision let me know!
