Yamaha660r I think I would know which one has quicker acceleration and who was talking about a mod war big deal if you can make a raptor faster and quicker than a yfz with more mods. I would hope a quad that has been out for 3 years would have more mods than a quad that has been out for not even a year. And I also think I know a raptor can be made into a "real monster"

Raptor is SOHC and the yfz is DOHC which means it revs faster. stock vs. stock a yfz will destroy a raptor in a 300ft. race. Yes I have a raptor but why does everyone think its the best quad ever made that you could hit a button wings would pop out the side and you could fly to the moon and back.

I'm talking about real world quads not with all the mods.
In drag races stock i have seen Raptors have problems with 400ex's out of the hole.
3mph top end advantage with over 200ccs more displacement yeah that's something to brag about and if you ask most yfz owners they will tell you the race is usually over before the Raptor has a chance to pass.

First off....stock for stock, a YFZ is quicker. It get's to top speed faster then a Raptor. That makes it quicker. But the Raptor is faster. It has more top end, and it really shows on pavement. I'm not bashing the YFZ, it's a great quad. But I'm partial to the Raptor.

I never said the Sparks 690's were not faster then Craycraft 686's. RaptorFam has posted plenty of video's. He has a 686, and his uncle and dad both run the Sparks 690's.

And I've never seen a 400ex come close to a Raptor. Maybe if the Raptor had someone who didn't know how to ride on it, would be the only case.
