Since you plan to get a pipe and filter for either, add porting and carbs to the banshee to make up the price difference. Then it will burn a hole in a straight line and smoke all your friends.

i think its really a matter of what name you wanna be on:YFZ350 or YFZ450,in dirtywheels they said that the 450 will easily accelerate with the shee until top end and the shee pulls away slighty, but if u put em on a hill stock 4 stock the 450 will eat it alive.they also said somethin about how advanced the steering system was over the shee too,i would go with the 450 thumper becuz i dont like TOO much maintenance and having to worry about the premixing

i think thats why i ride a Polaris

Wait, wait, wait. Stock for stock, a YFZ will get off the line quicker than a shee?

yes you are correct..

then just throw on a 15 tooth in the front on your YFZ and watch what happens to your top end without any major change in acceleration.

Stock for Stock, the 450 is just plain built better. (ie suspension.) You can mod pretty much anything to make them equal out... but in the end, the 450 has a lower center of gravity, and the most power to weight ratio of any 4 stroke out there. I haven't ridden the newest shee... but i'd still go w/ the 450...

Either would make you happy. If you want good handling and like to jump go for the YFZ. If you want to go fast and spin and just have fun get the Shee.

Have you looked at the Polaris Predator?

Do u think that the CPI pipes or better than the FMF Fattys? I have a 2002 banshee with a set of FMF fatty pipes, cool head with 18cc domes, advancement timeing plate, 34 mm pj carbs, and 2 K&N pod filters, 6" swingarm, trinitys pro- mx port work, and run 110 octan racing gas. What else can I do to it to make it faster? I want to nitrous on it. Im looking at boondockers nitrous kits.
