Default is an automatic clutch considered wet??

I'm wanting to know because I've heard that sythetics are hard on wet clutch systems. I'm thinking about Mobil 1 in the 98 Foreman its an autoclutch.

Yes it is wet. Mobil 1 makes a wet clutch specific oil, but I'm not sure of the name.

An automatic clutch can be either wet or dry, but in your case, its wet. Which means its bathed in oil. The oil helps to remove heat, worn material, and lubricates the plates.
In your case, the clutch is mechanically operated,by springs , flyweights, and cams.
Just make sure the oil you use, is designed to work with wet clutches, most of them say so on the label.

All ATVs have a wet clutch.

knows alot is right......the only stuff that uses a dry clutch would be high performance motogop bikes or ducatis. A dry clutch for anything on the dirt would be stupid. Just make srue you use motorcycle specific oil.

Why stupid 86?
I like the idea of not having clutch material floating around in my piston's only lubrication. BUT I also don't know very much about a dry clutch so I might be missing something.?.?

Well with a dry clutch you just have the clutch plates touching and nothing else. If you got any material in there( dirt.mud, water, etc.) it will just sit in there and eat away at the clutch part rather than being carried away with the oil. Also since there is no oil in them the longevity is not as good and alot more spendy to repair and keep up on. There are other reasons but thats the main one.

I would think that dirt, mud, or water in your engine would be bad any way. Personaly I would be more worried about other engine componets than the clutch. Plus with a dry clutch you should be able to seal it up away from the elements just like you can a wet clutch.

However you do have a point about more cost (I ahve never priced one but assume your right) and less longevity (again assuming your right).
