first honda made the atc25r 3 wheeler that preceeded the 250r quad. it was the first quad to really begin to get consumed by racers, and at the time when 4 strokes just started to evolve, the 250R was a stroker. and even still, it's a pretty quick bike. it's light and nimble, and has great handling. The pro's still have them around in gnncc races and even motocross races. you know why? Because it's got good power to wieght, good susupension and lots of a$$. Considering it is extremely difficult to find a stock 250R now, the ones that are around are generally very fast.

Well a 310 will beat a piped raptor, if geared high enough, smoke a piped raptor. Also, Ricky Carmicheal was smokin up people on his CR250, but It all depends on the track layout, most people choose a four stroke cause it doesnt need to be clutch out of turns as much as a two stroke.

back the originall question : I see my friends little brother smoke lots of piped 400ex's w/ his piped and, jetted and Reeded blaster, he is having it ported this winter and, will undoubtedly make even more 400ex's look bad. (Granted he is 14 and, 100 pounds.) but, that thing is a "blast"!

a piped blaster will beat a piped 300ex, and 250x but they will be close. you wont beat a 400ex without some major mods. You could beat a 300 or 400 4 stroke polaris and most utility quads. you will lose to a warrior and any kawisukicat 400's. etc, etc..
