Which alum. rims for '03 Kody 450 ? cast or rolled?
Thanks for the feedback on tires. I think I'm going to go with 26x12-12, & 26x9-12 for my '03 kodiak 450. just a little bigger than stock...unless anyone has good reasons not to change stock size... please tell me now.My riding is lots of trails, rocks, boulders, off-balance climbing/trails, some mud, lots of deep water. No sand & not worried about speed at all.
My question; rockymountainatv has Douglas .190 alum rims. atvoutfitters.net (NOT .com) has ITP C series rims that are one piece cast aluminum. They don't give you a thickness guage because they say they are cast and not made from roll stock, and can't be compared that way. They are almost exactly the same price for the tire/rim package ( when you factor in shipping cost). actually, atvoutfitters may be a little better on price because you get centre caps and lugs too. they claim to have had no problems with these rims. is a "C" series rim offset differently than the factory rim? I don't want tires sticking out past fenders, covering me in crud.
anyways, which would you get and why?
please help me out as I'm agonizing over this, and don't want to make a big $$ mistake.
Thank you very much!!
