160-165 seems like too rich

Default 160-165 seems like too rich

maybe you can help me back when i had 160-165 mains and a #25 pilot in it just seemed like it was running to rich like big time i have open exhaust and open airbox lid and i thought it was rich because when u started it it would blow a cloud of black smoke

I would think 155/160 would be right. That is what Alba sent me for my set up. Open lid and their pipe.

I run 160-165 on one of the bikes with alot less mods, this one likes to be run rich. I believe we might be a lower elevation than OK.

Puffs on starting could be the float level or pilot. Whats your airscrew set at? is the choke on?

Im at 6200 feet with a 686 kit and i run 160 155's, 25 piolet with clip in middle.

no the choke is not on. im setting at 3 turns each on the a/f mix and 148 150 third clip
stock pilot but i had a # 25 took it out

floats lever is set to what sixsixt said with the whole tube thing

also should i leave the stock pilot or go back in with the 25's

If your going to run with the lid off I would use the 25 pilots and 2 1/2 L 2 3/4 R turns out on the mixture screws.

Which end cap are you using? If it's the big one 165/170 MIKUNI.
