FCR jetting secrets needed......
I am running 35 fcrs and the following jetting
148 in both carbs (I had 142/148 and I did a plug chop to see the ground strap was WHITE)
emp/emr needle on 5th groove
52 Pilots
1 3/4 and 2 1/8 turns out....
what jetting are you guyz running with your 35's?
it still seems to be a bit lean on bottom.....it has a stutter right off of idle...even with a load on it....
btw......if it matters I'm running straight c12

I have a stock raptor, yoshi pipe, aluminum airbox, with the FCR carbs. I also have an EGT unit to ensure almost perfect jetting, and I am at 5000 ft above sea level.
My main jets are 148 and 150, and I have 48 pilot jets at 2.5 turns out on each carb. I would definitely say thay you are lean on the main jets.

Big scary- Those things can be a nightmare. Do you know what needle is in them, the size of the pilots and the main air jet? Bob can get you close, give him a ring. Or send ernie660 a pm, he has spent a lot of time working with them. I can't afford any my self. Also how do you have the air filters attached?Once you get them right

That would depend on how much you want to spend. Here's a place. These are on the upper end.

In a Craycraft signature 686 minus the SS valves ran 142/145 or 142/148, richer for sustained high rpm. I bought mine from Sparks and don't remember the pilots/air/slow jets but I think the needle was OCGR or OCGMR or something like that. Ran the needle on the 3rd groove from the top, it had 7 grooves. A/F screws were roughly 1.5 turns. Sparks said they run 142/148 in their bikes and I think their X6 pipe flows a little better than my old Yoshi.
IMO, FCRs are hard because you can change more components and the needles have a HUGE impact on how they act.
