colored rims
#1
Does anyone have a way to remove the gold color from the old stock 250r rims or the gold coloration from the stock Banshe rims or the purple from the 1995 stock Banshee rims without damaging the rims? The purple rims may be steel, I'm not sure. Basically I'm interested on the aluminum rims...Thx...Dean

What your up agaist is soft Anodizing . Acids like lime away will work . heres something else to try .
Take a couple five gallon buckets put one wheel in each wire them together with a bare copper wire put another bare copper wire in each bucket hook the positive side of a battery charger to the wheels . Hook the negative side to the copper wire thats just resting against the side/bottom of the buckets and add about 6 liters of Coke to each bucket switch on the charger dont let the negative wire touch the rims and make sure the positive wire is making contact with the rims add water until the rims are covered let it stay in there for about 24 hours and then take them out
