the engine was put back a few inches! one of the best quad's made if modified it a little, up the cc's some and if the air box has not upgraded with the aftermarket clamp on style airfilter buy one or make your own with pvc pipes & glue the stock setup sucks.

The front ends on the older warrior are HEAVY. your arms will be sore thie frist full day u ride it Also that helps bend the a-arms. And in stock form wheelies are harder to do. But i have no problem pulling it up... (lots of work and a 45t rear gear helps)

I remember when the Warrior first came out i thought it was the coolest quad out... I have an Old Dirtwheels that says Warrior vs. the world on the cover and has a Warrior jumping over a trx250R and a Quadracer. pretty cool

i have that issue of dirtwheels too. great photo on the cover, makes the warrior look like a bat out of hell. weeks later i had bought one in 86' though an 87' model.the heavy front end makes it track well on fire roads & good for climbing steep hill,it takes 2 people on it to get long wheelies ,1person as a counter weight over the rear grab bar.must be a trusty friend for good results.
hint' hold on real good.

It was 89 or 90. I am not sure. I think it was the same year they put the square lights up on the hood and off the bumper.

at one moment in time, we had 3 1988 warriors. they are very good bikes and one was my 1st quad. they didnt move the engine back and the lights up until the 1990 model. it was gray. we had one of them too.

Warrior's a fine quad, but Honda's 650 motor makes it a whole lot more fun.
