Default Reliable for trail riding?

Ok heres the deal everyone seems to be in love with hollywood dirts 240 kit. Can you buy this kit and have it installed at a local shop or do u have to sned your engine out. Also i was thinking about vitos 240 kit and i know it doesnt come ported, but will it still make a big difference? And also all i do is trail riding so will these kits be reliable and last a long time or are they just for drag racing? Because i also do some slow trail riding but i also like to ride fast and do hill climbs. So please help me out i need to make this decision soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a raptor forum mostly. It could take a few days for a knowledgable blaster person to get on. All I can think of is find out if the stock rod is strong enough to handle the extra power. The major things that really affect reliability are port area, if the ports are huge then it will eat of rings faster. And heat, if it gets hot and stays hot it will wear out faster. There are other things, like are the parts strong enough to handle the power etc... but thats varies with each bike.

well first off id say its probley as reliable as any other 240 kit... mine did fine on slow trails, fast trails, hillclimbs, and drags... may drink a lil more gas is the only thing i can see... i think you have to send it off but i am unsure... vitos is a small increase... if u get it ported it will do alot better... hollywood seems to do good work... if u havent yet check out his site Hollywood Dirt that should be all u needed to know right?

also i recomend gettin the Hot Rods crank and rod...

holy hell man, freak out. i'd say if its properly maintained its as reliable as a stocok blaster. might need a few more top end rebuilds but that should be it
