Trying to find out if the new Raptor is all that and more..
#1
I just recently put down a large deposit on a new raptor, I know it is going to be a "bad" quad, but what I really want to know is if a four stroke can really tear it up like a modified banshee can. I know when I rode a modified bandshee the power kind of scared me at first. I was just wondering if a four stroke would give me the same feeling. So just let me know what you think about the new raptor.

I have had some of the same thoughs, there is an email from john at ATV scene:

We're swamped here with two events happening in this month -- we'll get the
eval up in a week or two, in the mean time -- the low down on the quad --
it's awesome! It doesn't feel heavy -- very well balanced, nice smooth
powerband, reverse was actually kind of cool for trail riding, goes in
reverse real fast and easy -- great quad for GNCC racing.. For sand -- we
would rather ride a peppy Banshee than the Raptor, but for an overall quad
the Raptor is a better choice than the Banshee.

I ride mostly in the dunes of S. Cal and have been trying to keep up with Banshee's on my Warrior, not an easy task. If the only thing the Raptor gives me is more power I'll be happy.
