Just got home & I'm now the proud new owner of a kodiak 450. Hope I made the right choice!

 

Vbar, congrats on your purchase. Don't worry about the right choice, the quads that are manufactured today are all very realible. You just hear the horror stories but what about the thousands of never heard from guys/gals who have never had any problems other routine maintence. With that said.

What color did you get? Any extras?AlaskaBoy.

vbar, my new suzuki z 250 will not quite beat my friends 450 kodiak but another friend has a foreman 450 that is soooo far behind me that its killing him

 

I went with the green. I didn't want any bright, stand out colors. Camo looked neat, but not an extra $300 neat. No extras. I'm still coming to grips with the $$ I spent just on the quad. As i drive around the yard, I'm pretty impressed with what it goes through. The only thing that seems to stop it, is when starts to high center. Then the snow & sod starts flying from All fours. Not all threes. He He.

 

Henpecked: That sounds encouraging. Not that I intend on going around drag racing anyone, but it's nice to know that I'm not driving the "dog" on the block.

 

Consider the honda a utility vehicle. The Kodiak is a sport/utility ATV! You can get about 2-4 feet of air before the kodiak starts to make bad noises. I only tried this once. I dont really reccomend jumping the 450 but it can be done within reason.
