Why so fast.

well you actually run the orange bands in a stock 03' but you will have to switch to #400 main jets. or if you can find it cheap the yamaha R6 cyl's are a direct bolt on. you'll just have to get a reed valve adapter plate...about $74.99 msrp. oh yea for $1250.00 the saratoga can also be set up with direct port nitrus injection.

Nope, never switch from powerbands skipping a color, i went from blue to yellow and broke my freaking swingarm stabilizer, let someone who knows tell you, dont skip colors, go up gradually. And like someone mentioned, go to your dealer to get some more info on which ones to switch to next color, dont let him talk you into switching to a pink one right away, your swingarm stabilizer will be gone for good and they arent cheap to fix!

you guys dont even know. I mounted twin 500cc engines on my zilla and added double mother of pearl power bands on each one with a 2 into one flux capacitor and the new dual throttle setup. one twist on each side!. after im done with the mother of pearl im looking at moving up to the magenta bands tripple on each engine. Ill either do that or get twin pistons for each cylinder with tripple powervalve and carbon fiber dune tires.

Exactly. Switch from your blue to the next color. The magenta and mother of pearl bands ctatv is talking about are only for quads with flux compacitors. Dont worry about the compacitor though until you get atleast green or orange bands. Good luck!

Have you heard about the Dual flux capacitor setup?
it runs the first capacitor through the powerband to another capacitor.

If you want increased power that you can handle, i would upgrade to the green powerbands. Going from stock to green isnt that bad, its not as extreme to go from blue to green as it is to skip a band higher in the performance scale. A 6 valve head mod would be awesome, they really increase torque and they arent that expensive. You could probably pick one up for $250 or so, and say goodbye to the weak bottom end of your banshee.
Technically, YRO, you can run pink powerbands on a stock banshee, but be prepared to dish out a lot of extra cash for repairs. The pinks are set up for high performance drag bikes and put out too much power for the stock bike to handle. the frame may twist, the stock swingarm is way too short to handle the extreme accel of the pink band, you would have to work your clutch so much to get moving without going over backwards, you would actually make your drag times go up instead of down. speaking of the clutch, your stock clutch isnt up to the speed that the rpm's increase with a pink powerband. your clutch would burn up in no time. for anyone who hasnt been riding for at least id say... 3 years, i dont reccommend upgrading past a green. you need the experience to handle that much power. also you would have to run special engine oil to accomadate the increased heat from a yellow or better band. most people run 160 weight. pre-mixing is also very tricky when you have an aftermarket powerband. the engine becomes much more sensitive to rich or lean pre-mix.

Nicely said Johnny. I was going to order a pink and run dual pink and green, but I decided just to run dual green bands. The pink is more for top end and I love the low end my banshee has. The 6 valve head really improved that. My teflon valves are amazing too.
YamahaRiderOnly- ask the dealer about getting some Teflon valves for the shee, those are also a cheap but effective mod.
