Make one, or find something similar. Or go to Raptortranny.com and do the o-ring fix.

just my 2 cents

but if I plan to open her up and fiddle with the one way

I want to only do it once,,,,so I plan to just bite the bullet and get the L&A Designs

I looked at the oring job but that will be a last resort.Went to the Polaris dealer to compare this clutch to the 4x4 hub clutch spring on a polaris hud.It was to fat and too tight but it gave me an idea to find a small spring tthat is long enough and then hook the ends together. If that dont work will try the o ring thing.

Someone posted here that the honda rincon or rubicon used a similar oneway that you could scavenge some parts from for $20ish. Anyone remember this?

Why not fix it right once? That o-ring fix is an accident waiting to happen. I'd hate to have that thing strand me somewhere. My 2 cents.

I want to fix it right but I dont feel like taking it in the butt from a Yamaha dealer. There has to be a spring out there that will fit right.Tthis is one reason I hate to go to a dealer or any shop.Nobody fixes anything all they want to do is sell over priced parts.

If you're willing to spend the money buy an LA design one way. It aint cheap but it will last, instead of one spring each roller has 2 springs and you'd have to have a whole bunch fail to cause a problem.

If it was mine I would do that but it is a buddy of mine that I told him I would work on it for him to save him some $$$$$ and now I am at a point that makes me ralize why I guit ridding Jap MCs and went to Harleys years ago. You can get most parts at the auto parts store or hardware store.

When my oneway first had problems I noticed the spring all stretched to hell and it reminded me of a spring inside of a bearing seal. I didnt disassemble any to try to find one but you might check some loose seals at the local auto parts store for a spring.
