the yfz is actually more of a 12:1. technically 11.9, check the specs. And yes, high compression can make more hp. it adds low to midrange, but really helps when you add a cam.

Power to weight ratio does come into play but theres a huge difference in the power curve of the raptor versus the 450 .
I think theres only 50 lb difference between them . raptor motor in a YFZ chassis and I bet it would be neck and neck
with the Raptor being 210 CC's larger displacement should make up for weight and transfer but it dosent , there very close but the 450
still pulls out of the bottom harder then the big bore displacement shows up later .
I would love to see a short stroke crank and a DOHC for the raptor then you could up the RPM's and make it scream
The torque would suffer but it would still have plenty
