Then it wouldn't be stock anymore (that assumes the Rap doesn't come w/ a 11:1 - I have no clue about Raps).

Higher compression dosent add all that much power. It might gain like 2 more hp with that.

the yfz is actually more of a 12:1. technically 11.9, check the specs. And yes, high compression can make more hp. it adds low to midrange, but really helps when you add a cam.

I couldnt have said it better!! When I first modified my 250f I had it built to a 262f with a Wiseco 13:1 high comp piston and ran c12 race gas, I didnt really feel that much differenc from stock top end but just alot more throttle response and a little more bottom end!! Now that its a 285 theres a huge difference everywhere on the powerband!

Short crank stroke , light weight crank assembly ,light weight OHV assembly ,Good intake runner velocity
Kind of a rounded look at the hole picture

Power to weight ratio does come into play but theres a huge difference in the power curve of the raptor versus the 450 .
I think theres only 50 lb difference between them . raptor motor in a YFZ chassis and I bet it would be neck and neck
with the Raptor being 210 CC's larger displacement should make up for weight and transfer but it dosent , there very close but the 450
still pulls out of the bottom harder then the big bore displacement shows up later .
I would love to see a short stroke crank and a DOHC for the raptor then you could up the RPM's and make it scream
The torque would suffer but it would still have plenty
