Are these 240 kits reliable for trail riding, with the porting and all.

A modded blaster will keep up with a 400ex. At least mine did. Hell, a blaster weighs about 50 lbs less than a 400ex.

i said that because I saw my brother beat a blaster with his rubicon by like 2 quad lenght(maybe a 250yard drag) and i see my friend on his kodiak being like 1/2 quad length beside a blaster in a drag .there no way a stock blaster can keep up with a 400ex .maybe a ''hollywood dirt 240'' can smoke a ex ive never seen those but id really like to.

Check out there web site. The kit comes all ported and all ready to go. All you need is a bigger carb and then you will be up there playing with the banshess, and beating stock ones. A 240 kit from CT racing dosn't offer half as much power as the hollywood kit does, they are so much better.

you can get a boost bottle for a blaster from vito's performance.net for like 25 dollars but i herd they dont rele make a diff with anything but throttle response.

If your really looking to wake up your blaster without getting into serious motor work like porting then you should think about some little bolt ons. Get a degree key from Vitos and a V-Force with a spacer. You will notice the difference on the bottom end.
Also look at getting your airbox modded or a aluminum one. You can get one at CFM Performance that adds 2-5hp. From what I hear they really make a difference.

Alot of people under estimate the power that the blaster has, it just needs to be unlocked.
With a simple pipe, filter, and reeds the blaster can hang with a 400 ex, wont beat it but will give it a a good run for its money.

vitos has a boost bottle for 29.95 and i suggest you buy their bullseye intake manfoiled at the same time that i believe is 39.95 but i could be wrong.
