well it is a very long story but i will keep it short. Back in june i bought a 03 raptor, ever since july i have had rear brake issue's, took it to a couple different yamaha dealerships and no one can figure out why i get air in my lines. like after a couple hours i get air and then i have no brakes. There are no leaks in sight. So one time i was riding after i was told they were fixed now and that i should be good to go, this was like the 5th time i had heard that, but this time i had a yamaha rep person fixed it. went out and was in a smal wreck, no brakes again. so i then got a new set of brakes, new plastics for being in the wreck, the wreck was very very small but still a wreck. Also got a free 6 mos warrenty that i had asked for. I also asked for the plastics and the brakes, so so far everything i had asked for i had gotten. Then i got some free yamaha money and could pick out some products, so i went for the full gyt-r pipe, that was a fight but i got it and got the carbon fiber. got the machine back and ran great and wow what a difference i actually have back brakes. hahaha so then on saturday i got a phone call from the yamaha rep person who i have been talking to a lot and he told me that yamaha wants to swap me quads, so they wanted to give me a 2004 raptor, my 03 is still brand new and very well taken care of. so my quad is in the shop right now being swap out for a 2004 raptor, no money out of my pocket. this is really crazy i am lovin it.......anyone else heard this kind of deal????
I must say yamaha has really helped me out a bunch and i cant say enough good things about there customer service. very happy!!!!

wow, that surpises me. Some of my family members got financing through them and they got screwed over BAD, they made ALL the payments, even had the stubs from the Money Orders that were sent and cashed, they said they did not get them. we called and got copys and they were deposited by them. so after 6 months of them sending us notices and other bad stuff in the mail (we called them at last 20 times) they finally figured it out, now we have to try and get the bad stuff off of their credit report. Way to go yamaha!

Sounds like your rep is concerned about something happenning too your Raptor since he actually wrecked it. Motor blows up and you can say it's from the wreck...and the rep knows this can go on and on and he would not have a leg too stand on. Get my point. Great for you though.

More than likely this has happened to more than one person. We all know the rear brake is horse **** but most of the time we can just bleed them and they're good for a couple months. They're not doing this out of the goodnes of their hart, they're trying to prevent a law suit. This is actually a good thing. Yamaha's on the right track. Now if they would just make things right with all the 01 trannys, they would sell a gazillion quads.
