Comes down to whatever you want.

Two Strokes are powerful, but high maintence and prone to break downs.

Four Strokes take more abuse, but require more mod's to get more power. They are more reliable though.

As for how fast you wanna go....that all comes down to how much $$ is in your pocket.

2 stroke combust every stroke there fore you have quicker throtle responce and more of a spike of power at low
end and winds out more quickely

on the other hand 4 stokes they combust every other stroke therefore you have more cosistant power but much
less of a spike of power or surge like a 2 stroke

i prefer 4 strokes for ease of riding-------------------------------------begginer
but 2 if you are much more of an aggresive rider--------------------you know how to ride like the wind

4 strokes break your wallet when they break, 2 strokes are easier on the wallet but easier (not more likely, just easier) to break.

Can you explain to me what is more high maintence in a two stroke than a four stroke? Also, what "part" breaks more in a two stroke than a 4 stroke?

The way I see it: Two stroke: Cylinder, piston, rings, rod, crank and case.

Four stroke: Cylinder, piston, rings, rod, crank and case; + valves (2,4, or even 5/ cylinder) valve guides, seats, seals, springs, retainers, keepers, cam (sometime 2 or more), cam chain, rockers arms (some), sprockets, idler and countless bearings and fasteners to hold all of it together.

If all parts fail, what engine do you think will fail more often?

I just think two strokes get a bad rap thats all.

if 2 strokes are run properly you will olny have to put new rings in every 40-50 hours to maintain max performance.....i never had a 2 stroke break down unless it was my fault ........ over rev
