Default 4 stroke or 2 on dunes

All of my riding buddies have Banshee's. Most of the bikes are between 00-01 bikes. They have not rebuilt their bikes yet! We ride all summer at the dunes. If you take care of the bike, it will take care of you!

My friend has an 01 he bought used and runs that sh*t hard with alot of mods and porting and still running stock pistons and rings, but he is tearing it down just for piece of mind, and the fact he rides everyday for the past year.

I have a degree in microbiology. In getting it I have learned that biology is the science of the exception. Duck billed platypus?? Mammal or what? My point is, even though it is very common knowledge that the banshee needs a new top end every two or three years, and the zilla needs total rebuild sooner than that, the exceptions(guys who made it longer) try and act as though they are the rule. NOT TRUE. In order to claim that they (shee, zilla, and even 250r though better) are as reliable as a thumper they would have to copare themselves to warriors, 400 ex, raptors, suk/kaw 400. If they did it would be more than obvious that they are not nearly as reliable as a thumper. So, having said that, the shee is still the best dune quad dollar for dollar. Now, the new 450 yfz looks like a contender, and in a couple of years and some effort by the tuners, it may be king, but I am a rappy guy and would never trade it for a shee, but the shee owns the dunes and really doesn't have competetors when you compare dollar for dollar.
