Default Oil injection failed on stock 04 blaster!!!!

I was riding one my blaster today in mid 5th and it bogged down and died. I figured the spark plug fouled. But i waited on the side of the road for about 5 minutes and I started it and it ran fine for about 3 miles then it just bogged down and shut off so i walked about 2 miles to the nearest house and called my friend to pick me up. And he brought it to his house and his dad looked at it and took the sparkplug off and it was white. then he changed it out and i tried to start it but there was NO compression on it. and he said the piston was blown......i only had it 2 months. and should it be covered under the warranty. If not im screwed! please help!

Warranty should fix that problem if you can prove that it was because of the bike and not the rider. If this was because of the oil injection failing then yes it will be covered under warranty. I'm sorry for your misfortune and good luck fixing it!

You should buy a block off for the oil injection and run mixed gas.

Yeah I hope they will. But my friend said that the store we bought it from is a a$$ about that kinda stuff. I took really good care of it. Always oiled it and washed it after every ride and I kept it in our basement to keep it out of the weather. Like I said I only had it for 2 months and I was only in 5th not even in the powerband. I pi$$es me off it would just die like that. I even got it rejetted from its stock 230 to a 240 and it was still running dry so I ran a 245 in it.

When you talk to the dealership don't mention that you modded the jetting, just tell them what happened and that you wern't riding it hard. They will use anything against you that will get them out of doing warranty work. Just stay firm with them, and don't let them intimidate you. Dealerships are a pain in the a$$ to deal with but if you keep to your story and don't mention any modding done to the bike you should be set.

Yeah I hear that most dealerships will just end up screwing you over. The only thing I did was take the air box lid off and the baffle off. And rejet it for winter. But i know that none of that should screw up the piston. Should I just put both of those back on before I take it to the dealership.

P.S.

Im gonna call them tommarow what exactly should I say?

they will blame it on what ever they think will get them out of doing free work.
Dont tell them about the baffle or anything, just put it back to stock and take it in.

i dont think by taking the baffle off they will do anything about that but put it on just in case being its just a tiny bit more airflow
