miles per gallon???

I don't know any numbers....but I will tell you that mine is almost 2 stroke like on the gas consumption....
I used to be able to ride nearly all day on a tank.....now I am limited to about 2-3 hours.....

All your mods for power lower the gas milage. Each time you increase the machines ability to intake air you almost always increase the jeting to always more fuel. Even exhaust systems alway for more gases to pass though the machine, as such the gas mileage is lowered.

I wish you knew how far you went in those 2-3 hours. I'm trying to guestimate what size fuel cell to use on my project.....
So lets say 2.5 hours per 3.2 gal
.78 hours per gallon
average speed is say 35 mph?? (if this is higher, mpg goes up)
Thats around 45 mpg
So minus a 10% fudge factor, an 8 gallon cell would get me 324 miles (assuming a lot of things......)

I have seen piped raptors go about 65-70 miles before going to reserve. This is good hard ridding on dirt roads, high speed trails, and the occasional swing through a pit on the way for a few trips up the banks. Even with my 686 185/190 jetting I can make the same trip without worries of running out!

Does the 3.2 gallons include the reserve?? If not, how much extra is the reserve? Assuming it doesn't: 70 miles on 3.2 gallons is only 22 mpg- not very close to my previous estimate............

Yes the 3.2 does include reserve. Reserve is .7 gallons. You may get more or less depending on riding style, I was just giving a vague estimate. I have seen a kodiak450 go only 36 miles and needed to turn to reserve then turn around because the store was closed and ride 28 miles on just reserve! Obviously we rode much easier on the way back and got allot better gas mileage.
