I think he has every right to be pissed. This is not the first time I've heard that getting Durablue to honor their warranty is extremely difficult. Hopefully alot of people will see this post and realize that Durabend's "lifetime"warranty is BS.

It shouldnt matter who owns it. Lifetime is lifetime. I would give them a piece of their own medicine and find someone that just purchased one and use their warranty........ JMO, that would **** me off too!!!

Durablue warranties stay with the original purchaser and do not carry to an axle bought used. Also, Durablue will only replace your first broken axle. Every subsequent axle will cost $175.00 (their cost of the axle). All "Heavy Duty" axles and parts are covered for only six months.

*The above was taken straight from the warranty page of Durablue.com.

Durabreak

A lifetime warranty that will cost you $175 for each time you use it. What a joke.

If I remember correctly, their website also gives an excuse as to why their axles are prone to breakage. It seems that todays modern ATVs swingarms are setup all wrong, causing Durajunk axles to break.

TEAM industries makes a great axel. They take a Durablue and test it to destruction, then improve from there

50.00 bid

38.50 bid

20.00 bid buy it now for 75.00

Look around man. You don't have to go out and spend 500 on a axle. Get something to get your bike goin, and save up to get what you want.

hey guys i know 500 is a lot for the axle and 100 bucks for a stock one is nice but isn't the +2 inches on both sides better? i was day dreaming in school today and i was thinking that there should be a company that takes the broken axles that dont have warrenties and heat them up (melt them) and pour the molten metal into a form to shape it into an axle again lol. how sweet would that be. im probably going to go with a stock axle when i save up enough $$$
