Those R's are so easy to tune and re-jet with there single carb set up that only needs to be rotated on the boots to get to the jets, I have a buddy with one that can rejet so fast I can't even finish a beer before he's done.

Even if he does win, I can always say that at least mine runs for more than 5 hours between rebuilds. He just bought it 2 months ago for an unreal amount of money. It was just rebuilt before he bought it. The first time he rode it he was all excited and started it up and opened the throttle all the way and was hammering through the gears and cold seized it. He had a good 30 seconds of riding time before it blew up, pretty funny. That a good lesson on letting your bike warm up.

farmstud-where are you going to race?florence ,winchester.I would try to keep the race as short as possible and you should stand a good chance of getting a win but if you let that 250 r(300-310) stretch its legs you probably wont do too well.Normally if you raced a short uphill like comp in florence you would be able to get the jump on him because he would be spinning so much at the start but the sand is pretty wet right now so that advantage is pretty much gone. This could be a close one but as always rider ability will play a big role in deciding the outcome.Even though i ride a raptor and baja which are both of course both four strokes if i had to bet i would put my money on the R. Let us know how it goes.

Farmstud- I am going with you on this one so do not let us down. Make the race as short as possible and come out of the gate in second gear pegged. The 250r has to be making 50hp to give you much grief. There are always some wicked fast 250r out there but there are generally more average ones. First one out of the hole is going to win, so be that guy

the reason his engine seized is because he switched up to the pink powerband without upgrading his muffler bearings, comon everybody knows that!

I have a friend with a 340 ESR and I've raced him with every engine build I've had except the recent one. I race him up sand mountain in nev. With my 11:1 motor the closest I got to him was 4 bikes. But thats a long hill. Listen to these boys keep the races short, I could always beat him in the first two gears. He'll be surprised when I'm bumping nerfs with him now.

We're going to be racing at Sandlake, so a pretty short hill. I've been practicing 2nd gear launches lately with stock gearing, so with any luck I can get a jump on him and hit 3rd and then the race will be over before he gets going. This week I'll be adjusting my valves, and pray to god my Sparks pipe shows up, (its been 2 weeks since I ordered it). Right now my jetting is 182.5/187.5 with DJ needles, with a slip-on, any recomendations for jetting with a full pipe?
