Default Buyin' a Raptor Tomorrow!

Congrats on getting the new Raptor. I bought mine a few weeks ago the havent got to ride it much yet,but I love the way it feels and the power it has.Unfortunately I fell at works a couple of days after getting it and broke my wrist. I am lucky to have such good friends offering to break it in for me. I cant wait to get on it and ride.

I think it is a sunstar I got off ebay. It has lasted through quite a bit for a $8 sprocket. Yeah, with the stock sprocket you will either be low reving 2nd or shifting between 1st and 2nd. My brother still has the stock sprocket on his and he manages, but sometimes complains. I guess it also depends on your trails. Our trails are usually tight with a lot of turns. I also would rather have the quick accel. rather than the top speed, because I really have no where to use the top speed. That isn't a bad idea to ask the dealer to toss one in for ya.

ha i dunno if there bein good friends or they wanna ride your rappy...lol. good luck on your raptor. isn't a samller front sprocket gonna raise your gearing? i thought a tooth bigger would gear you lower n a tooth smaller would gear you higher? maybe you could put a FMF T-4 pipe on it? lol

Well, At 12:30 today I became the proud owner of an 04 Raptor. This thing is sweet. It is so fast. I've only had it onthe street and haven't gotten out of 3rd gear! Thanks for the info!
