Buyin' a Raptor Tomorrow!
#1
I just wanted to make sure I shouldn't give the z400 another look. It is really tough buyin a quad without gettin a chance to ride it. Here in SoCal the dealers don't let ya. Anyway, I'm looking for some encouragement that I am buying the right quad. I'm sellin my Warrior because I am ready for the big-time. I got Berts in Azusa to give me 5900 for the Rappy out the door! Let me know what you think of that price.

I hit a lot of trails in the mountains and dunes around SoCal. 90% is trails though. The warrior just didn't have the HP to get me up any big hills in Glamis. That was the final straw....time for a bigger quad. (and I'm tired of my buddy on his XR400 throwing rocks on me)

ooo thats cool lol if you want but your probably not like this but i reccomend that you find one new thats in good shape for half the price of a new one and then use the extra $$$$ to supe it uppp...

yeah, it sounds like the raptor is the right quad for you. especially if you want to throw some rocks back at your xr400 buddy. you might want to look into getting a tooth smaller front sprocket for trail riding. that way you can run a smooth second gear without worring about stalling. that's what I did anyway. I hope you enjoy your new quad.

Thanks for that advice JayBird. I guess with the stock gear i'll be shifting between 1 & 2 or 2 & 3 a lot? How much should I plan on spending for a sprocket? I tried your website but didn't see what type of sprocket you were using. What brand do you have? If its cheap I'll see if I can get them to throw one in with the quad.
