Default raptor clutch cover HELP!!!

To make a long story short, I screwed up! I had some stripped threads on the clutch cover where the external oil line attatches by the oil filter. I bought a heli coil to repair it and in the process of drilling it I went too damned far and drilled the little hole at the end to 13/32 or 10mm. It looked about half that size originally....DANG!!! Anyhow will this hurt anything? Is this cover doomed? Please lemme know if I've got to hunt up a new one ASAP!! Thanks

I don't see why it would matter, as long as you didn't drill thu the other side of the pocket that is at the bottom of the hole.

Default raptor clutch cover HELP!!!

At worst have it welded back up and then drill and tap . Make sure you use a bottom tap to finish it and always use cutting oil for aluminum when tapping
And always remember " **** Happens "

Default raptor clutch cover HELP!!!

Well, I didnt use cutting oil or anything not in the kit. It was just a drill bit a tap and of course the heli coil and install tool. Dang things are expensive too. I talked to the service manager at a local dealer and he didnt think it was too much to be concerned about as the banjo bolt wont flow any more regardless of how big I drilled the flippin hole. Does anyone have a clutch cover laying around that can refresh the memory on just how big that hole is originally? I think it was small but I'm not really sure.

I think it's about 3/16" I could measure it if you like.

Default raptor clutch cover HELP!!!

I was just double checking to see if it really was significantly smaller or if I just nutted up over nothing. I wonder if it'll lower pressure on something important? Do you know if this is an oil feed or return line? I get flow to the head as I've opened the little screw on the head and oil very freely flowed out.

It's a feed line, the oil returns back down along the timing chain. The ID of the tube is smaller than the hole you drilled out so I agree with what the service guy said.

Default raptor clutch cover HELP!!!

Gotta add my 2 bits.
Not only is that Heli coil expensive its hard as hell to find!!! I went all over before I found one. Then I never used it. I had the hole welded up and then tapped out for $15. I plan on tapping it out to a 1/4NPT and using a braided stainless line. I am waiting until I have to pull the head off next time though.

The hole: I can stick a 9/64 drill bit in and its just about perfect. The next size up (which I have now forgoten in the 2 minutes it took to walk to the shop) would not fit in. So I wuld say its a 9/64 hole. I also agree about the size of the line and hole in the bolt only letting it flow so much.
