Default GPS Mount

Im thinking about getting this RAM mount for my Etrex Vista GPS its $39 and looks pretty good. I did a search on RAM mounts and they seem to be a good product, anyone have one of these?

I have one. works great. be sure to hardwire your gps to the battery (with an in-line fuse). regular battaries vibrate and fail over time.

Default GPS Mount

I've got one and also have the twin suction cup attachment too.. I like it alot. I use it on my quad, PWC and then switch to the suction cup mount and using it while 4 wheeling in the mountains. Also have used it in rental cars in Europe.

The ram mount is better than the cheaper Garmin handle bar mounts because you utilize the factory battery backing plate and the GPS is cradled inside the Ram mount instead of having the battery backing mount provide all the stability as in the Garmen handlebar mount.
The Ram provides ease of GPS removal from the mount also.

Pricey but worth the extra cost.

I think you can also purchase a Yamaha accessory plug in, similar to those on a Kodiak or Grizz, and wire it into your electical system.

Coat your battery ends with dialetric grease for improved connection.
