Default Rear Skid Plate Bolts

In order to remove the rear skid plate from my 02 Raptor, I had to grind off the heads of the rear bolts. Since then I have hit them with every penetrating fluid known to man, and tried to unscrew them with vice grips. Since I am posting this, you may have realized they are still on the quad. Any Ideas on how to get them out????

You could try a bit of heat and an ez-out kit.

Or you can use a carbide drill bit and go up in sizes a bit at a time until it pops free....You will most likely want to run a thread chaser through the hole when your done.

what he said
and if there is enough meat left,,,,grind (dremel tool) a slot in the shaft,,,,,heat it really good with a torch,,,and unscrew it with a large standard screwdriver.

heat is the key (to melt any glue on the bolt)

My concern is the housing is aluminum, and the bolts are steel. The steel will win the heat battle everytime. I have been told it will be a delicate balancing act between the two.
