Default Broken Rod

Hey does anyone know much about rods? I just recently broke mine and i was going to get the Carillo rod and ordered it and paid for it and after a week and a half it never came, so I called up Alba Action sports and asked what the Fu$k was going on... They said it wouldn't be here for 5 more weeks! Boy, was i irritated! So my question is.... would a stock Rod hold up with all i've done to my raptor? I screwed up with the last one by not changing my oil as often as I should've. I have 686 bore kit, 11:1 JE piston, ported and polished, Stage II hotcam, and Yoshimura full exhaust. Will a stock rod hold up fine with those mods?

if it broke and didnt wreck everything you are very lucky, I wouldnt count on luck a second time.

Did you try carillo directly? This time of year its tuff to get anything in on time

Would not recomend stock Rod at all. I have a Carrillo Rod but I am keeping it for my rebuild. I heard that they only make them for a short time out of the year. I seen one on ebay the other day. Look at my page and see what happened to my motor.

The Carillo rod is usually on back order. If you broke your rod I highly doubt it was because you didn't change your oil enough, It's deffinatly because of your build.

I broke mine in the first engine I built up, In this one I got the Carillo rod and so far so good!

guy I am thinking to change my stock Rod too. but my problem I am having hard time finding a place here (United Arab Emirates) to balance my crank with the new rod. do I have to balance the crank? I mean what might happen if I don't? Did any of you guys with aftermarket Rods install the rod without rebalancing?

thanks

Ahmed
