what you running for jets.. needle, screw settings? we are at sea level.
my buddy has the YZ needle... and a K&N with his HMF full system... lids is also off...
we have tried just about everything and it pops and backfires like a MFer at 1/4 throttle...

has any1 had this problem with it popping like crazy at 1/4 with any other pipe...?
i am pretty sure some1 on here has a piped yfz...

 

Try 48 pilot, 4th clip on YZ needle, and 170 main. If it still pops you need to adjust the fuel mixture screw. Still pops you have an exhaust leak. Good luck!

 

we have tried those settings already...
his stock pipe did leak... i didnt think the new one would though... something too check out i supose...

 

I am running a full GYT_R system with a K&N and lid off..

175 main
YZ (GYT_R) needle on 5th clip
45 pilot
2 3/4 turn on the fuel mix.


no popping (lean) or stumble (rich) .. runs strong

try it

if your rich with those settings drop your needle by running on 4th clip position

 

i got another buddy tho has the gyt-r full system also... hes on the 4th clip with a 48 pilot... we tried it.. and it still popped like hell...
it seems the richer it gets the better it gets... we are up to a 190 and it still does it... but not as bad... but thats not even close to what other poeple are running... his cant be that much differnt than the others.
