My buddy is looking at purchaseing a 99 Kodiak. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the goods and bads of the Kodiak. It is a nice machine but I am sure that there are some goods and bads with it.

Liquid cooled,four stroke, auto tranny,6.3 front travel,7.1in. rear suspension travel,EBS, shaft drive, 543 lbs,and MSRP $5999. Doesnt sound that bad to me. I never rode one before, but if your lookin for 400 quad, also look at Polaris Xplorer 400, Polaris Xpedition 425, and the Forman.

 

the '99 is not automatic or liquid cooled, but it is alot like the 2000 Big Bear minus some of the Big Bear improvements
