Mine backfires once in a while, what it has done lately is turn off completely while idling. I think I just need to adjust the valves and jet up some more

Backfire on decell, is caused by a lean idle circuit, or intake leak, or exhaust leak. Most likely , the mixture screw needs to be turned out(rich), 1/4 to 1/2 turn. If that doesnt fix it, look for leaks.

Should I get some bigger pilots? I will try to find a leak at the intake boots or the header tomorrow. Im 2.5 turns out on both mixture screws, so I will go with 3 turns out. Thanks for the help guys!

Go to bigger pilots after 4 turns out on the mixture screws.
