The weld supporting the left rear fender of my Banshee has broken. I guess the support arm for the fender did not agree with taking the stock foot guards off to make room for nerfs.

Can the frame be welded without harming the electronics of the machine?

I had the same problem on my banshee they just welded the support on the top and bottom (Kind of a spot weld) didn't do a very good job, I welded mine back on and fixed the other side at the same time, I had no problems with the electrical.

Always disconnect the CDI when welding on the frame, ALWAYS. You can damage it, not always, but why take the chance. Later

When I bought my 2000 Banshee new it had a bad weld on one of the foot peg mounting points. I took it in and had it welded with no electronics disconnected (didn't even think of that) with no problems. But, better safe than sorry so you might as well disconnect the electronics. Oh, and don't forget to disconnect the BATTERY on your BANSHEE!!!
