I have a question on what gearing i should run on my Warrior.I have a Supertrapp IDS 2 exhaust system,K&N filter,Team Alba billet racing cam,Wiseco piston,Titanium valve spring kit,and a 14 tooth in front and the factory 40 in the rear with 20-11-9s on the rear.I dont wanna lose all my bottom end so im afraid to go up to a 15 tooth in front.I looked at sidewinder sprockets gearing picture at there website but im not sure what set up to try.I need a littl bit more top and i dont wanna lose anymore bottom.Anybody got any gearing setups i could try that have worked for you? Thanks

"I need a littl bit more top and i dont
wanna lose anymore bottom."

Unfortunately, what goes on the top, comes off the bottom and vice versa, gearing (drive ratio) wise.

Since you mentioned in another post you're interested in racing, the best starting point to answering your sprocket question likely seems to be the track: what ratios are the other racers with similar machines using? Count the teeth, or ask 'em! Racers often willingly share performance tips and information. This approach provides you with a specific answer for a specific riding environment, instead of a general hypothetical answer from Forum readers. Good luck!

Went Through this same dilemma with my Warrior. Top gear is not high enough with a modified motor. Yet with a modified motor, you lose some bottom end. Stock first gear is almost not low enough, so gearing up compounds the problem. 14T front and stock 40T rear was ok, but I wanted a bit more low without taking too much off my newfound top gear, so I compromised and put a 41T on the rear. Had a sprocket off my banshee in that size, so it worked out great. (they are the same type) This seems to be adequate for most situations, with the exception of rock crawling. Hope this helps you.
