Learning to use your brake is key.

blance point and back brake are key, as he said. just go 1st or 2nd and low rpms, or powerband, gun it for a sec and pull up, get it in ur balance poin(it takes time and practice to find) and keep it there. if u go to far back, tap ur brake to recock u and either bring it down or keep it going. i reccomend u pratice in a grassy field. its fine when ur learning to kit ur grab bar, thats y they are there, but when u learn to us the brake, u wont need it. good luck. every quad has its own balance point.

Thats how i did it, i put my feet on the grabbar and once you get used to it coming back and hitting, then you know that when you are sitting down, it wont come back and it makes you more comfortable while riding one. And being able to brake is definately the most important part of a wheelie, it can save your azz sometimes. Also, a good way to keep it up when you are at the top of a rev, is make it come back past the balance point and ride the brakes so it slows it down, then you can start it over again with lower rpm's to ride it longer, this is key while riding extended wheelies.

While I still havent mastered it, I think the best way(for me anyway) if to do just keep trying them sitting down...i have yet to hit my grab bar...but i think if I go up a little higher i will have the balance point....but its hard...lol...i onno...no real reason why i am posting this but you know.

as you wheelie try slipping the clutch to control it, it is less abrupt than using brakes
