I dont know if this has been covered or not. has anyone had the cam mod done on their YFZ? How does it run? any problems? how do you do it? do you advance or retard? I'm hearing 5 hp gain

 

lots of owners have done it. It makes a noticeable performance difference. The cam gets advanced one degree. I dont know about 5hp from a one tooth advance though.

oh, i was told by a friend of mine that he advanced his yfz for the cam mod.

 

Ok so do you retard or advance? I've heard to reatard the exhast 1 tooth.

what would you have to do to a yfz to equil a hrc kit for the honda trx 450r?

 

rejet it and take the lid off. maybe remove the spark arrestor.

 

.....The question is more, what would you have to do to the honda with the hrc kit, to keep up with the yfz. No, but seriously, all you go to do is remove the baffle and air box lid, then simply rejet. You'll hose em!

 

my friend and i were talking and we dont think that just rejeting and airbox lid would be the same as a cam, jets, slip on,air box mod . please reply and prove me right .
