please if u could tell if these mods would beat a 400ex. blaster modifications-
fmf fatty pipe,powercore 2 silencer,k&n filter, boysesn pro series reeds, prodesign reed spacers, 14 tooth front sprocket, maxxis razr tires, wiseco top-end bored .20 over, head milled down, with the carb rifled out which is boring (stock carb) jetted w/ vitos jet kit, and ran off 93 pump gas. bike has no hesitation in throttle nor powerband range. if u could tell how it would probaly do with a 400 in a drag race and maybe on the track. i can work the clutch great also. thanks guys

realistically if you want to beat a 400ex your going to need portwork, PERIOD! Talk to this guy for all of your engine needs, www.hollywooddirtproductions.com , hes the best when it comes to Blasters....He built my last Blaster motor and I used to spank stock Banshees with it.

 

yeah im goin have the first step port and polish job done when i get the motor mods i listed exactly put on im just in the middle of figuring what it would be but thanks man. And that blaster beat stock banshees with porting from him. what step port job was it 1, 2, or 3?

 

shav0, did that change in sprocket settings 12/41 vs stock 13/40 or 30 do something on the bottom and the top cause i have a 1 tooth up front on mine and it gave more top end speed.

 

I am answering for ShavO. Yes, it probably did. If you take the last number, say 41, and devide it by the first, 12 you get 3.41 compared to the 13/40 which is 3.08. The higher the number the less top end but more acceleration, and vice versa.
