Well I took my last Blaster engine all the way but realistically you could smoke probably even a piped 400ex with Hollywoods PD2 porting, a Power Pros or LRD exhaust, and a bigger carb....The thing is is that the top end speed of a ported Blaster and a stock/maybe piped 400ex is about the same but a ported Blaster will get there much faster not allowing the ex to catch up.....Gearing doesnt matter, if your Blaster isnt ported and the ex rider is at least decent you will get beat after 5th gear. I remember racing them before I got ported and it was the same outcome every single time. 1st through 3 I took them, 4th they started to keep up, 5th they started to pull on me and eventually passed, and 6th they would create a 3 bike length distance...These races where usually about 500 feet.

I am sorry for what I am about to say, but, atvkid14, a blaster is right for you, so stop asking! You have started numerous threads on this very simple question, which has gotten a very simple answer everytime. How are we supposed to know what is right for who? I say yes, because you are small, and blasters are small. But, Blasters fit all kinds of people, and what is right for you might not be right for somebody who is the same hieght, wieght, etc. It all depends on what you are looking for, and yes you might think that you know what you want, but it might not fit your tastes perfectly. Just my opinion.
