Well that's odd because last weekend at the dunes, I was able to launch off the line in 2nd gear on my YFZ. But when I rode my friends new TRX450R, I couldn't take off in second. It would just bog. I had to take off in first. We were running the same paddles to. So that kind of goes against your gearing theory.
yfz-Dual over head cam=acceleration and over i have to admit more power than the trx
450R-single over head cam "uni cam" not as much acceleration but still powerful
