ive got a 95 banshee i bought wrecked cheap. ive put it back to stock but the carbs had 290 main jets so i put in 200 now it acts lean but loads up idling . should i change the needles first or change the idle jets? i have not yet checked the idle jets so i dont know what they are. please let me know jetting numbers to try thanks

Default banshee jetting help

If it had 290's in it? Did/does it have pipes or maybe an open airbox?

If it still has pipes on it, I would not recommend using the stock 200 main jet.

If it is in fact stock...the pilot should be a 25, 3rd clip on the needle if I remember correctly.

Air screw ~2 turns

Default banshee jetting help

All of the Banshee's I have jetted came with either 200 or 210 mains. If yours came with 190 mains how far are you from sea level. Tell you what do this first with the 200 mains in it first. Start it up and hold the throttle open about 1/4 throttle and adjust the air/fuel screws towards the back of both carbs. Listen to the rpm of the engine while turning the screws, you want the highest rpm you can get at 1/4 throttle. Once you have achieved this go ride it see how the bike reacts to the changes.

i live in northern indiana the jets were 290 i put the 200 back in my buddies banshee came stock with the 200 so i figured that was right for the area but the choke makes no difference at all wether in or out it runs the same but starts first kick every time hot or cold im going to check the reeds today and make sure the slides are in the right way cuz it loads up on idle but why does the choke make no change? the tube was replaced so its brand new
