choke problem

when i pull the choke out on my shee it makes no change to the engine wether its hot or cold.but when the machine idles it acts like the choke is on . it loads up and dies. when i pull the cross tube off it sounds like a vacuum leak and the machine idles really high. is there any suggestions on what to do?is anyone else having these problems? by the way its a 95 banshee all stock with 200 main jets 25 idle jets and the pin is in the 3rd clip. please help with any suggestions

i have cleaned the carbs out 3 times. when you say grease it up you mean all the o rings in the choke assembly? do you think it might have bad o rings or something? how does the choke work on the right carb when there is nothing but a tube between the 2carbs?oh yeah when i pull the choke out and rap the throttle it sucks the choke back in. i dont get it theres nothing to it and i cant figure it out.

That is a symptom of a worn out choke...I just went through this. If the choke does not stay out on it's own, it is most likely wearing out. I think I payed around $50 for a new assembly for the stock carb.
I do not think they sell the O rings seperatly, but you could try to measure one up at a hardware store.
