i have some steep hills where i live realy steep would the rap be more likely to tip than the yzf or does it just depend on rider and machine

It just depends on rider. If you just lug it up, any sport quad is going to tip on you, just lean forward and youll be fine. And the Raptor has torque like you wouldnt believe.

I was just in the polaris forums and a guys told me that the pred was way better than the rap and yfz. lol i tild him that polaris made a good machine but yamaha was just plain and simple better

LOL, yeah you have to be careful some times. Many of the forum members on here seem to spit back out information they hear. Others have good experience with machines, even though they dont own what they are talking about. Trailrider is the guy who was talking to you. He has some good info, but he doesnt own a pred. The pred tranny was claimed to be "improved" by polaris for 04. They did not say that they "fixed" anything. The trannies have had lots of problems with 3rd gear and finding neutral. The 3rd gear problems seem to be fixed, but 04 owners still complain about having difficulties fiding neutral.

No i don't own one your right about that, the funny thing is i have one in my garage right now that i am moding for a co-worker, I was riding that thing all day today getting the jetting just right...

awesome machine, i also ride with 2, 03 preds and that 04, i will also have one of my own when my scrambler is sold....

I also like yamaha i own one as well..

If you didn't like the quad why did you pm me about info on it and make a post in the polaris forum about YFZ,raptor and pred??? never mind dude just make up your mind and be happy...

dude lose the attitude yur the one that said i should get a pred not me i just asked if the problems were fixed. I don't one and would never buy one.

Believe me, Trailrider isnt the type of member that is going to give you advice based on which quad he owns. He gives you genuine and helpful advice, that is usually correct, so hes not there to give you false info, just to help you out. There all great, and we told you enough info I think for you to decide on which machine you want to purchase.
