YFZ450 and GNCC!
#1
went to Round 4 Steele creek....holy S! in just about every pro class...the yfz took the holeshot. in fact, you'd see 3-4 in the front as they went into the woods.
i was pretty surprised to see the new Honda's in middle or back of the pack. no-one can convince me or those guys left at the line on the "dead start" that limiting the TRX to kick-only was a could choice. I'm not bashing...i'm reporting what i saw. i'll also add that there must have been some frustated riders knowing that the EX's were doing a better job defending the Honda name.
i was very pleased with my YFZ's handling in NC. the quad and i were severly loaded with mudd. did not overheat and did not run out of gas. i was seriously concerned with the small tank. the GYT-R piston and pipe were very helpfull in passing on the track section. i can't wait to add the Cam mod.
this was my first attempt at a GNCC. night and day from MX. i have a new respect for Yoakley, Ballance and Penland....and even more for there machines. I think the YFZ will end up dominating the GNCC. I know thats a bold statement and i try not to be bias. but, that was the quad leading the charge...everytime.

The YFZ will have to survive the onslaught from Suzuki. I know the Z400's do a damn good job in GNCC. So we'll have to see what the Z450 brings to the table later this year, or the begining of next year.
