Extending my chain?
#1
I know it isn't ideal but I want to try some bigger rear sprokets and the chain I have will not fit. When I purchased the chain it was to long so I had to cut it down, so I have some spare links. Will this be okay, it will have 2 master links about 3 inches apart? I just don't want to buy a chain until I'm sure I will use the bigger sprocket.

I went through the same drill. I bought a chain for a +3 swingarm , ran it a while and then got a +4 swingarm - oops - needed longer chain. I added a section and ran with two masterlinks for a long time with no probs. Like ya say - not ideal but I dont think it's too much of a concern.
