Default Sand

I have a prodesign K&N air filter setup and just returned from waynoka and my outerwear had holes in it so i just put panthose on it i looked at it and it looked like it stopped the sand but i am wondering how i can tell if i got sand in the engine. And the reason i put the pantyhose on it because no one had the outerwear i needed down there.

As for the outerwear get one from Alba they have them for the Air Box Lid that is a prefilter(Kinda Cool) and then you have one on your K&N. So it's double protection as for telling if you have sand look where the air goes into the carb and maybe look for a power lose? Dont bash me because I dont know about sand. Pull your filter off and look in the tubes and see if there is any sand or dust sitting in it. Are you running with the lid on or off.

You would most likley see some kind of sand or dust. Since it is clean you are probably ok. I have a freind that had his filter fall off and there was alittle dusting in the tubes so we took it down to the intake manifolds sprayed carb cleaner through the carbs and the tubes. He didn't have a problem.
