You might want to rethink that cam, I'm not real sure, but that much lift will be more of a top end rev cam, and it will take a lot of low end grunt from you. I'm runnig a Web 88 grind cam, I think it is only around 380 or 390 lift on intake, great low end and still winds out about the same as stock. I'm running 25 inch tires, and it feels just as peppy if not more so than the stock 23 tires.

95 Wolv
That is what i thought about the 450 cam.......i still want the low end torque so i can plow snow and stuff.....and i was thinking if i use that cam then i will wind up losing that low end.

Thanks,
Danny

Well i just had my stuff done...and got a lot more umph for it. Let me tell you what was done.

440 cam White bros. (this cam isnt as bad as i thought it was gonna be)
36mm Eddlebrock Carb With accelarator pump.
Springs.
10.5:1 Piston white bros
Port and polished only exhaust. Was talked out of the intake being done.

I havent really opened it up yet. i want to break it in for about 2 hours. befrore i really wind it out...but i can tell you this much for the amount of time i rode it in the dealers parking lot( about 20 minutes.... i am happy the way it feels.... i have more power in the mid to upper throttle range. it pulls ok on bottom but really kicks in when you go right past mid. it is running a little on the rich side. but the good thing about that carb i have is the you can take off the seat and uncap where the main jet is and screw it to either heighten or lower the needle!!! one drawback is there is no choke on this particular carb. though thats ok for warm up i have a **** i turn to increase idle....and this thing starts right up with a pump or two before cranking. Well hopefully i will be able to ride this weekend. to test my new and improved wolverine. lol

Would you do me a favor and let me know how the race cam works with a stock displacement engine?

Thanks
Adam
