The race cam is ok on a stock displacement....but remember i have a higher compression piston (stock compression is 9.2:1 after market is 10.5:1) it really is ok..its not a significant increase ...suttle yet noticiable increase from half throttle up...it wants to revvvvvvvvv.....it has a lot more mid thru top end pull....more torque in the upper.....(a lot more upper end torque) i especially love that Eddlebrock 36mm Carb. like i mentioned before...no choke. that is the only draw back. The only thing i would do different the next time is talk to my mechanic before i purchase stuff, This guy is so cool that he wanted to put a _____ head from a 400...cant remember with that ____'s piston. he said he would have done the machining right there if he had to.....only thing was that he had to watch for the boss.... so i was just like do with what i have here now and we can always do this later. if we want to.

Idles nice, starts right up, I am running a little rich. ( seems to run better rich...but i never had it high speed yet. so we will see what happens when i get into 4th and 5th gear to see what kind of pull or if i hit a dead spot in the upper gears full throttle)...... but whats good about this carb set up is all i have to do to richen or lean the carb is to pop off the seat grab the specially made needle screw, press it in push full throttle and i can adjust just the needle like that ...in 1/4 turn increments ...

Sorry its been a while since ive been on here. Thats a pretty easy carb to adjust. Alot easier than mine. I like my 36mm though. You should have a pretty high top speed, with the cam and carb set up the way they are. Let me know all about it when you get it broken in right.

Eceriderjbomb - it feels like the high preformance bikes when you hammer it, although Ive never lined it up against any of them. It felt like it had more torque than this guys Raptor that I rode. I will let you know more about it when I ride more with those guys. A few of my buddies just got new yfz 450's. Fast bikes.

You can make it totally manual for $150. That will take a while now because Four Stroke Tech has a waiting list. You could have the intake side ported. Go to a 365 kit, which is .080in over and that will help you pull through the bottom end faster, and since you have a cam, order the piston to 11:1 compression.

Personally, I went with the FST Race Cam, which is somewhere around a .390 lift or close to. I didnt want an all top end cam. This way it pulls hard all the way through the powerband. I have longer gears too so a cam that high would really be a problem when I shifted into 5th gear.

for everything i have right now, you are looking a aruond $1700 give or take depending on what options and if you have to get a rod kit or have to replace worn out parts because they wont support the power.
