with no pipe or filter on the raptor, probably not. When you pipe and filter both of these machines is when they really wake up.

A Rappy that has a Pipe/filter/jetkit will smoke a stock YFZ and just barly nudge by a piped one.

Stock Rappy has about 35 HP, stock YFZ has about 40. When piped/filter/jetted the Rappy has almost 50 while the YFZ has just under 45.

well, for a raptor, how much does a piston and springs increase power and all?

Bubba is right on. A rap with cam, high comp, pipe and filter should run with a cam modded, piped, and filtered yfz. I have heard this is the case. On memorial day I will find out for sure first hand.

The piston helps, maybe a few hp. Its when you add a piston, new cam, and the springs that you see significant increases.

It's to hard to say how much power you'll get from it, every bike is different. Don't even think about doin' engine work yet, you don't even have the bike!

Start off with a pipe, filter, and jetkit and see how you like it. That will prolly be more than enough power for you.
